As a result of the pronounced corner location of the plot of land, planning was subject to an urban planning competition in which the draft submitted by the architect Grüntuch-Ernst, Berlin, prevailed. The building from the 1960s that was formerly used by Norddeutsche Landesbank was removed in 2008 and completely rebuilt with three shop units. April 2009 saw the hand over of the almost 4,000 m2 building to the tenants REWE, ESPRIT and s.Oliver.
