The building with a changing history was originally built as a department store for HERTIE, and subsequently used in part by Karstadt, and in part by Quelle. By way of a collaboration with Centrum, Düsseldorf, and the B&L Group from Hamburg, the building was completely gutted, divided into eleven rental units and re-opened in 2010. In tandem the multi-storey car park was expanded to 610 parking spaces. The concentration of strong drawing enterprises at this position in the street gave rise to a permanent appreciation. The former A2 location became the best up-market location in the area.
